Role overview:

As an Operation Engineer at Tresorit, you will work with a broad array of innovation challenges, across various industries, typically in the Business-to-Business space. You will find yourself working as a part of full-stack product teams and liaise with developers, designers, and product managers for the ultimate goal of designing, building and operating an end-to-end encrypted, easy-to-use commercial cloud products and services that are derived from an understanding of the business, its actors, and the technology blocks.

 

What you will do:

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) virtual machines (VMs) deployed in Switzerland.
  • Utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Splunk and VictoriaMetrics to maintain system health.
  • Managing and refreshing certificates
  • Manage secrets and authentication data using HashiCorp Vault.
  • Ensure system reliability, uptime, and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, network configurations, and security.
  • Automate operational tasks and deployments using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect infrastructure and data.
  • Work closely with development and security teams to improve infrastructure processes.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for operational workflows.
  • Ensure antivirus protection using ClamAV.

 

What you will need:

  • 1+ years of experience in an Operations, DevOps, or System Administration role.
  • Expertise in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Splunk.
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible or similar).
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and security best practices.
  • Experience managing virtual machines in an on-premises environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • It is an advantage if you have knowledge/experience in some of the listed areas:
    • Software engineering background,
    • Coding skills in any of these: Java EE, C#, Typescript,
    • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments,
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies,
    • Familiarity with antivirus solutions like ClamAV,
    • Previous experience working in a regulated industry with compliance requirements.
