Role overview:
As an Experienced Manual Tester at Tresorit, you will work with a broad array of innovation challenges across various industries, typically in the Business-to-Business space. You will find yourself working as a part of full-stack product teams and liaise with developers, designers, and product managers for the ultimate goal of designing, building and testing an end-to-end encrypted, easy-to-use commercial cloud products and services that are derived from an understanding of the business, its actors, and the technology blocks.
As a new member of the Engineering department, you'll work on testing our products and contribute to other development teams.
What you will do:
- Manually test business workflows and new features of our product over multiple platforms.
- Define, update & document test cases for upcoming features in TestRail.
- Find & report bugs in JIRA with reproduction steps, screenshot, screen recordings etc.
- Perform manual testing of new releases.
- Should be ready to put in extra effort and to help other team members investigate issues.
- Write internal and public knowledge base.
- Cooperate with other manual tester colleagues.
What you will need:
- 2 years of experience in Manual Testing of software applications,
- Good communication skills in both Hungarian and English,
- Be detail-oriented,
- Ability to think critically and analytically,
- You’re passionate about proactively exploring improvement areas in the product,
- Able to perform repetitive and monotonous tasks,
- Must have knowledge of testing techniques to cover all possible corner cases,
- Able to learn quickly & work in a fast-paced environment,
- Team player and collaborates across teams effectively,
- Able to work individually,
- Willingness for self-development and to learn from others,
- Comfortable reading API responses (JSON/XML), parsing logs, and interpreting error codes to help pinpoint issues efficiently,
- Experience using dev tools (e.g. browser developer console, Postman, Fiddler/Charles Proxy),
- Naturally curious about how systems work under the hood, including backend/frontend interactions, environments, and data flows,
- Strong technical background and technical orientation.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge/experience in some of the listed areas:
- Experience in writing Automated Tests (in any programming language),
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks,
- Experience in JIRA & Testrail,
- German language is a plus,
- ISTQB CTFL Certification.
