Role overview:
As a C++ Engineer at Tresorit, you will work with a broad array of innovation challenges, across various industries and typically in the Business-to-Business space. As an experienced member of an agile team, you will be working with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility. You will find yourself working as a part of full-stack product teams and liaise with designers and customers for the ultimate goal of designing and building end-to-end encrypted, easy-to-use commercial cloud products and services that are derived from an understanding of the business, its actors, and the technology blocks.
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain the library that implements the core functionality of our native clients,
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, Backend, Frontend, other native client engineers, and stakeholders to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment,
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance,
- Taking part in the planning of new product features to make sure that they are secure both from the perspective of the customers and our infrastructure,
- Leading and/or taking part in decisions regarding architecture and code organization,
- Practice pair programming and participate in code reviews,
- Plan and implement new features throughout the library, up to the API level that is used by our native applications,
- Investigate and fix defects from our issue-tracking system.
What you will need:
- Experience in C++ and native code development.
- New C++ language features.
- Able to use development environment and tools on either Windows, or Mac platforms.
- Applied cryptography (eg. block cipher modes, padding schemes, PKI), crypto libraries (eg. OpenSSL).
- Experience with testing libraries.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently by taking ownership of problems and planning their solutions.
- Passion for technology, product, and user experience, security.
- Fast-learner and self-motivated attitude.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bonus points:
- Experience with post-quantum cryptography algorithms.
- Network and multithreaded programming.
- Experience with static code analysis, fuzzing, reverse engineering, application performance profiling and optimization.
- Contributions in open-source and/or security-related projects.
- Python, Rust, C#, Kotlin or Swift.
- Continuous Integration systems.
